Stop.Listen.Care.

It’s easy for seniors and dependent adults to become out of touch with the outside world.  Long periods of extreme weather, inability to walk safely outdoors, risky neighborhoods, or a lack of transportation--all contribute to a person not wanting leave their home.  This isolation makes seniors and dependent adults vulnerable to self-neglect and abuse or exploitation by others.

In minutes isolation can be reversed! Just by checking in with senior neighbors, customers, patients or clients—you can improve a life and improve your community.

The “Stop. Listen. Care.” project was developed by the Sacramento Community System of Protection for Seniors and Dependent Adults to help foster a sense of caring and concern within our communities.  When we provide a safety net for each other, and when we reach out to the most vulnerable among us, we create the kind of community we’d all like to be a part of.
