| Sacramento County is partnering with the California Department of Aging and the Age-Friendly Network of States and Communities to make the Sacramento region livable and accessible for County residents throughout their lifespan.
Sacramento County joined the Age-Friendly Network of States and Communities in 2021. Once enrolled in the network, a community begins a multi-year program cycle consisting of a community assessment, action plan, and progress report. Sacramento County conducted the community assessment in 2022 and will complete a local age and disability-friendly action plan by the end of 2024.
